Two short videos today, nothing too special but I’m getting back into it, this isn’t all I did but it what I got a video of
Thank you to all who follow along this journey with me
Long short story:
So about 5-6 weeks ago I was thinking to myself about how I didn’t have any motivation and I needed to just relax. I went from heavy lifting to surgery to PT and back into the gym for about a week and then I stopped to give myself a break. I was down on myself because I was worried I was gonna be able to do the things I was doing before surgery. Today I came back with a new mindset, the grind started again today and will continue, I’m so happy with today and excited to grow again and be better then I was before, so to all who actually read this thank you and let’s grind again 💪🏼💯 #comebackkid#comeback#recovery#postsurgery#thegrind#bigmansgottaeat#blessed#letsgrindtogether#workhard#dontgiveup#motivator#motivation

𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦. Hope gets us and motivates us with our goals. But just having hope won’t cut it. If you don’t work right alongside that hope, hope alone isn’t going to get you anywhere.
𝘞𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘵, 𝘪𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. You can hope all you want. You can have all the goals. You can make lists of goals and plan for goals but if you don’t put any work towards it, it doesn’t matter how much you hope for it. It won’t matter if you have all the hope in the world. It won’t matter if you wish for it with all your heart. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨.
To accomplish things, you need to give it your all from the start. You lean into the hard because if you don’t when it does get hard, you’ll find that it’s easier to give up that hope.

Sorry for being so MIA this week y’all! It’s finals week at my school so I’ve had to really crack down on studying and getting assignments finished, but THANKFULLY Friday is my last day of school so I’m in the final stretch!!🙌🏻 it’s been a tough semester to stay motivated but it’s payed off.
While we’re talking about motivation, I get asked all the time how I stay motivated to go to the gym. The truth is that it’s hard to, sometimes I have to force myself, sometimes I really don’t want to go, and other times I’m so excited to go that I get antsy waiting till the end of a shift or to get out of class. So honestly, how I feel about getting to the gym changes daily. What doesn’t change though is how I feel after my workout and that’s what pushes me to go even on those hard days. This week was filled with a bunch of those hard days and I had to force myself every day except one. I’ve been stressed over finals with school and have been sick so you can imagine my gym mindset hasn’t really been there. So what I did on those days was reset my attitude. I took ten minutes before I needed to leave for the gym to write out a workout plan and write out all the reasons why this is good for me and why my body and my mind will thank me for it later. This allowed me to get out of my funk and into that good mindset I needed to get my workout done. Staying healthy is hard, having a healthy lifestyle isn’t easy, it’s intimidating and a daily struggle, but it is so worth it.
I encourage y’all today to take five minutes before your workout to write down why you’re doing this for yourself and how it help you in the long run. Then, after your workout read that piece of paper and pat yourself on the back for accomplishing your goal, thank your body for getting you through it. Let that good feeling you get after and during your workout remind you of why you do this. Motivate yourself with your success, no mater how small it is, and you will never fail to grow.
