In 2004, Los Angeles Times film critic, Kevin Thomas, wrote: "Six years before Mae West dared to call her play 'Sex', Thomas Ince produced and Fred Niblo directed a 1920 film called 'Sex', starring pioneering screen vamp Louise Glaum as a New York cabaret star, the mistress of a married man. What gives the film its edge is that in truth she is simply a blunt, honest woman who doesn't realize her own vulnerability." (October 28, 2004). Don't miss "Sex"! Saturday, January 25 at the Music Box Cinema, with a live musical act and live accompaniment by Cliff Retallick. Tickets are available now on Eventbrite! https://buff.ly/2sXTjXF

We're back to beat the January Blues
I know it's actually only been a few weeks but if like us you've had enough of the cold and are looking forward to the start of Spring, Valentines Day and all that then please join us from January 30th for the next gig when...
🕶️Starting 7pm a group of professional vintage traders will upload items simultaneously to Insta.
🕶️Every post will include a hashtag exclusive to the event (announced just prior to the start, I'll explain why below)
Searching via the tag enables you to browse every item in the fair in one place.
🕶️If you're interested in an item you contact the seller directly to purchase or ask questions.
🕶️You purchase from the seller using a trusted payment system eg PayPal so that you have complete piece of mind (these are established sellers anyway who sell via eBay, Etsy, their own sites and real world locations).
🕶️The seller will then send you your purchase for you to enjoy.
🕶️The intention is to make this as straightforward as possible and as close to shopping at a physical fair as possible.
🕶️Why the monthly hashtag?
To maintain security and quality.
To make it harder for non Co-operative members to jump on the bandwagon without being vetted and without abiding to the group rules.
In deliberately setting up a system I cannot exploit it does leave the potential for abuse from non members so we do what we can to minimise this and so far it has worked well. Prior to the event we will be announcing a list of participants to provide further piece of mind.
🕶️It is always possible to browse through the items from previous fairs and purchase available items, details in the highlights.
I hope this makes sense but please ask any questions you may have below.
