I have a different kind of #transformationtuesday post to share!
This story started way back when in 2nd grade when three little girls met on a softball field! From that point in they became the three best of friends and spent all their time together?
Fast forward 15+ years and we are still hanging in there and loving every minute of it! While we have all been through different situations in our life we would not trade our time or memories together and our new ones to come!
Friends are something to cherish and hold dear to your heart! These pictures remind me that each and every time I see them! And just how much we have physically changed over the years!
For the better part of my 36 years, I’ve let a lot of things hold me back.
But the thing that’s on the top of the list?
Which then leads me to playing small, diming my light, hiding, being self-conscious, awkward, uncomfortable, and last but not least: not following my dreams and desires because I don’t want to upset someone else.
How many of us can say the same - how we’re afraid to change or step out or do something against the norm because we’re worried about what others will think??
That was me on the left.
These days, I’m more in control - because it’s a choice. And not the easiest one.
I know I’ll never go back to being that person on the left.
Even if we just forget size and weight, it’s clear I wasn’t choosing me or my happiness and I was trapped in a self-loathing cycle.
I didn’t feel good.
Today, healthy FEELS good and UGH I wish I could bottle it up and give it out for free to everyone and anyone struggling, I really do.
But the reality is - the person I’ve become along the way was and is because it’s an inside job.
Believe me though - if I can conquer this, ANYONE can.
So tell the negative voices to STFU, do it anyway, and most importantly- do it for you ✨ #transformationtuesday#10yearchallenge#healthy
Today totally felt like a Monday, am I right? It’s likely the buzz of the holiday season but whew, I’m happy for some IG and a glass of wine. I wanted to bring you a fantastic #transformationtuesday of my #mtpleasant#commercial project I just completed. This was a labor of love. Started in October of 2018 and just completed 💗. This was definitely one of my all time favorite projects. Check out this entry and then swipe for the before pics 😝.
I recently had the honor of transforming The Well International here in Chiang Mai, Thailand. 💙This is a place where people come for counseling and healing, training and resourcing and it more than deserved some love and care. My goal for this space was to provide cohesion and a peaceful setting that would put people at ease, the second they walked through the door. From what I hear, people are already enjoying the change and that makes my heart so, so happy. Still waiting on a few more pics but thought I’d give a sneak peek for now ☺️ Stay tuned for more pictures of this space! 📷 credit: Vicky @ The Well .
Five months separate these pictures. I see so many changes from the one on the left five months ago to the one on the right. I’ve lost several pounds, several inches and gained so much more on the inside. I’ve learned to own that I am God’s beloved daughter. I am trustworthy, strong, capable, worthy of taking care of myself AND I’m still a great mom while pursuing all of this. Heck, I’d argue I’m a great mom BECAUSE of all this. I sold myself, my husband and my kids so short for so long by neglecting myself and succumbing to that ridiculous mom guilt that so many moms fall prey to. I am so grateful that in the midst of the mess I said yes. Otherwise I’d still be that woman on the left who is tired, uncomfortable in her own skin and feeling like something is missing. I’m so excited to continue on this journey to get in the best shape of my life in my 40s, to helping others find their way on their health journeys and to actively pursuing the gift of this one life I have been given. I’m so grateful to the women I found who are willing to dive into the trenches with me and the support we provide each other. Who shared their stories that inspired me to start mine. All it takes is one little (or big!) yes and some grit, grace and commitment to yourself. Are you ready to say yes?! Come join me. I’ve got room for you 🥰
I figured it’s been a while since I’ve participated in a transformation Tuesday, sooooo here we are! 🤷🏽♀️
The picture on the left is from August and the picture on the right is from the end of November.
The reason I like to take pictures is truly because I would lose my mind if I just focused on the scale!
There isn’t much of a difference but I 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 so much better and seeing some of my progress visually makes me want to keep pushing myself 💪🏽
Swipe over to see my short and sweet arm workout I did this morning! I also am starting to tryyyy and give myself a little bit more time to do some extra cardio a few days of the week because I’ve been slacking🙃
Hope everyone has had a great start to their week! 💘
