When asked what my fitness and weightloss goals were for 2020 I could give a list the length of my arm. Though I whittled it down to 3 main goals that are 100% achievable on my current path.
1. Lose (another) 25kg.
This should bring me down to the "overweight" BMI catagory & further reduce the risks associated with obesity.
I also believe that hitting a 1lb a week loss is sensible and will allow me to continue enjoying my current diet of "anything I want in moderation" which has essentially become my habit now anyway.
2. End the year a size 14/16.
I am presently a size 20 (22 in some styles) and would love to end 2020 at a size where I can walk into most shops and know they will have clothing to fit me. The last time I wore a 14/16 I was still in high school and I would be very happy to be back at that "omg I'm sooo fat" size!
3. Run a 5K.
My only true fitness goal for the year is to get away from gym based cardio and hit the pavement. I've always loved walking and have found that running is by far my favourite type of cardio. There's just something about the sun on your back, wind in your face and the freedom that I love. As we move into spring and the days become longer I will be out running every opportunity I get.
What are your goals for 2020? I'd love to know!
Missed my @barebells.uk team yesterday as they paired up with @smeg_uk - watch their stories, the baking was INCREDIBLE😋
SO as many of you know I lost my phone on Friday and since then I've made a switch away from IPhone🙀 but so far I'm coping! THEN just as I was panicked about losing my phone (and obviously not being able to remember any backup passwords) a DPD van drove into/over my parked car 😭
ANYWAY that's definitely the drama done for the rest of the year I reckon! Time to head into uni and give our final presentations! 📚
M O D I F Y your workouts! I have to listen to my body and do an exercise in a way that works for ME. Here I made small changes that help me feel the burn 🔥 in the right place. My back is weak and my balance sucks so I have to try to help myself to prevent any injuries. If I don’t have an equipment I need then I IMPROVISE. Try it, you’ll have lots of fun being creative. In the glute bridges I used heavy dumbbells on my feet and held on to something to prevent my body and legs from slipping. In the single leg hip thrust I left my resting leg straight with my heel touching the floor. In the lunges I used the bar and leaned back on the machine for support and balance (as if mimicking the smith machine) Please don’t make the mistake of waiting to have all the stuff you need to get an effective workout. All you need is to look around and use what you already have. Do what you can until you can do what you want! Hope you enjoyed this quick lower body workout. P.S. I got these cute @nikewomen pieces @the_outlet_shoppes_at_laredo downtown during Black Friday 💕 Love it!
