I recently saw a post about how shocked people were that Mac posted a model with facial hair and pores unedited. Why is it so shocking that for moment we don’t see perfection? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With filters, editing apps and immaculate complexions on Instagram, it's all too easy to lose sight of what's real. Although I use filters in stories and in photos I have never manipulated my body or skin. In this photo, you can clearly see my pores, wrinkles, blemishes and peach fuzz. I feel vulnerable having my imperfections so closely on display. Most of the time yes I am this shiny because hell I live in Florida and it’s still hot in December. I have forehead wrinkles and skin texture of a 27 year old. Perfect skin doesn’t exist.
