#Mondaytip Cigaretted and tabacco products contain nicotine, an ingredient that can cause vasoconstriction, or narrowing of the blood vassels. This narrowing decrease the flow afblood and oxygen to the healing tissues after the procedure, which deters proper cell healing and increases the risk of skin necrosis on the wound.
Smoking also increases the level of carbon monoside in the bloodm which deprives tissues of oxygen. Blood supply is a major concern during any surgical procedure, but especially during facial plastic surgery where the visual outcome is important for the patient.
Maxing smoking and cosmetic surgery can specifically result in increased pain, loss of skin, infections, death of tissue or fat cells, delayed healing, thick scarring, permanent vessrel damage ot blood clots. Speak with your surgeon about any concerns prior to your surgery and partner together to avoid any of these potential healing risks.

The acorn squash is super easy to fix!
I usually throw it in the microwave, but I decided to go the extra mile and cook in the oven. It’s so pretty!
I pierced with a fork several times, baked in oven at 400°, took out after 10 minutes and cut in half and placed facedown on a greased pan, put back in oven for 30 more minutes, removed from oven and scraped out seeds, placed one of the halves, threw in a serving of pasta, cottage cheese and topped with Italian seasonings and sea salt. Delicious! 😋.
#MondayTip Orange City residents, it's time to Rethink, Reset, and Recycle properly. Wishcycling, or placing something in the recycling bin that shouldn't be there, contaminates good recyclables. When a batch of recyclables is contaminated, there is a good chance that the whole lot will be rejected and end up in the landfill. Wishcycling causes literally tons of items that are actually recyclable to be sent to the landfill. In other words, “wishcycling” does no one any favors, except adding costs and reducing the amount of items that can ultimately be recycled. Reduce recycling contamination by recycling the right things.
As you prepare your recyclables for pickup tomorrow, keep this in mind:
Items you CAN recycle (all must be clean and dry):
-Aluminum, steel and tin cans
-Plastic bottles and jugs (with or without caps)
-Paper, cardboard and newspaper
Items you CANNOT recycle:
-Glass (Glass can be dropped off at a Volusia County recycling sites)
-Items contaminated with food
Please do not bag your recyclables.
This information if applicable for Orange City residents. If your trash provider is Volusia County and you have a question, please visit their website Volusia.org.
Hola Healthy People☀️. Monday🌟Tip🌟 Add some quinoa when you cook your rice. Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) is a great source of fibre, contains vitamins and minerals and some protein.
It has a delicious nutty flavour. #mondaytip#quinoa#riceandquinoa
