In early December, the Andros municipality organizes the “White Night.” The people gather in the central square, solemnly light the city tree, and various groups perform. Shops, cafes, restaurants work until the last customer, who is able to buy, drink and chew something. On the street, mulled wine and local raki are pouring in.
I am not a fan of strong alcohol, but I have a strong desire to eat something under a glass of red dry wine from Nemеа .
(The mythical halo surrounds the Nemea variety. An ancient legend says that the saturation and softness of the mysterious dark ruby wine from the Nemea region in the Peloponnese is explained by the fact that the vines of agiorgitiko themselves were irrigated with the blood of a lion, which Hercules strangled and refreshed here in the distant past. True or not, but such a myth exists, and the assertion that Nemea-Agiorgitiko wines are the oldest wines in the world is most likely true ... and Nemea is undoubtedly the birthplace of Hercules.)
Here it is, my "wet" burger, fragrant and hot. And let the diet wait ... just a little bit.
(By the way, it was too much for me . It's rather for a healthy ,big man 😊)
