A little peek at chapter 9 ("Of the Severall subjects of Knowledge") from Thomas Hobbes' most well known work of political theory, Leviathan. This chapter is very short, and this flow chart is the majority of it. This flowchart shows how knowledge is compartmentalized into various categories with surprisingly small distinctions. At the end of the flow chart you can find that many of the academic disciplines are much more similar to each other that one might think. It is also important to note that the language might seem a bit wonky, that is because Leviathan was first published in 1651, hence the archaic form of English. Perhaps a post later on could be dedicated to Leviathan when the page gains more traction in the instagram reading/philosophy community!
